Class arrival

It was day one for Pt England students to start back at school on the 7th of February 2011. As I strolled through the school gates, I was stoked to see the new classrooms that had been built for the year 7 and 8 students to learn in.

The new part of the building known as the street was flooded with children and teachers. Beside me I could feel the breeze whispering in my ear. Not knowing what class I was in, made me more excited.

‘About time’ I said to myself. Finally, I found out who my teacher was. I was happy to hear that I was in Ms Tito’s Class again. After Mrs Nua’s announcement, I Raced to my new classroom and explored it feeling ecstatic.

I glanced around at my new classmates said to myself, ”This is going to be a great year.” I’m looking forward for what this year has to offer me .

market day

It was still the early hours of the morning when I arrived at school ready to set up my store for the year 7 market day.
At 7 o'clock Ms Tito arrived at school to help other students prepare too.
Firstly Ms T helped me carry the bullet board into the breeze which was used for my displays for my store and also some desk for my products to sit on .

Our market started at 11. 30 class by class arriving and coming in and out buying things from our stores. The products that ocean and I were selling was lollie boxes selling at the price of 1.00, inside were mixed lollies and a balloon.
Not allot of people were buying our products but as soon as the market started getting packed a variety of students came to our store and bought our selling products

At the end we fun raised alot of profit that is going towards our next years year 8 camp .
Market day was fun seeing all the kids and teachers buying products store by store i hope we get to have another market day next year if you look down bottem you will se a video that you can watch to see how well the market went :)

shared day at mairangi bay

Mairangi bay surf life saving education

8.45 the bus was leaving school to take the year 7 classes (room19 and 20) to Mairangi bay for surf live saving education.

During the drive to Mairangi Bay I was waiting patiently on the bus but inside I was excited. The children on the bus were full of laughter who knows why? . Here we are finally in Mairangi bay , the students seated on the grass and listened to the following instructions that were given from Mrs Nua . We then strolled up into the club house to meet the life guards told by the names as Meghan,Recaul and Rosy.

After the few boring activity's we then went out side an played some beach games which were Octopus life guards coming
The teachers were playing and the children were chasing after them like they were dogs side to side
. We were having loads of fun.

Yay ! After eating my lunch I quickly got changed into my swimming togs ready to get into some water activity's .
For our water activity's only one of the life guards could stay with us as the other to life guards Requal and Rosy had an important job to do . After everyone had changed we all gathered around Meghan to listen to the following instructions She explained to us and the teachers ,"teachers make a box in the water and that will be the children's Boundaries Boys have the Boigie boards and the girls can use the tubes so off we went into the water splashing and swimming it was loads of fun

Washing off to go home wiping our selves down who knows when we will be back. We said our thankyou's for sharing the day with us and we hope we could come back soon . I learnt alot of information at the surf life saving education we jumped on the bus and drove back to school it was a fun day everyone was a bit tired but wanted to stay for more .
